Now add this little thought - Social Psychologist have proven that it only takes milliseconds for someone to make assumptions about another person. Now that's where your image management comes in. Don't wait till you get a chance to strike up a conversation - you may never get it. Your person of interest may wander off with someone way cooler (at least in her mind).
One thing that really stands out and enhances your image is a seriously sporty watch, and the best place to buy a sporty watch is at THE WATCHERY.
Check out the Tag Heuer Carrera depicted above. No one can resist the rich chocolate brown dial and strap exuding a sense of subtle elegance laced with daring adventure. Upon the bezel a Tachymeter is inscribed. A Tachymeter is a useful measurement which is utilized to compute speed based on travel time. Another great feature is a chronograph which functions as a stop watch. The sub dials display a 12 hour register, 30 minute register, central second register as well as small seconds dial. A date aperture is placed at the 3 'o' clock position.
A rotor is affixed at the back of the watch so that it swings back and forth while one is wearing the watch while walking. The swivel motion winds the watch. This is the automatic function of the watch.
Water resistance to 100 m or 330 feet makes this watch the perfect accessory for watery sports. A screw down Sapphire crystal see-through case back allows one full view of marvelous craftsmanship at work. In addition Sapphire Crystal is highly scratch resistant being the hardest material other than diamond.

Father Needs a Watch

There is nothing like a proud Dad wearing a watch he got for Father's Day. Forget about ties, LED flashlights, weird obscure tools, socks, a key chain from Niagara Falls. Get him a watch. A watch he will love. One that will befit his personality, hobbies and image.

If Dad always wears a suit - even on the weekend, then a vibrant yellow sporty watch probably will not be the best idea. You need a watch crafted from a solid metal like gold, platinum, steel or a combination. If dad hates clutter, he would want a watch with a simple dial without subdials. If you have run into some money then add a complication like a tourbillon or perpetual calender.
Excellent watches for "no nonsense, clutter hating Dad's", would be Movado's (really affordable and instantly recognizable). The Museum Collection have completely bare dials with only a gold shimmering dot at the 12 'o'clock. The "dot at the top" watch face is for a determined person who always has is goal in sight. If Dad is that sort than peruse through the large range of Movado men's watches at THE WATCHERY.

Okay now what if Dad is the "not so serious type". Yes he has embarrassed you more than once in front of your friends. Like the time he jumped fully clothed into the pool during your pool party. OMG, you could have died, or the time he came to "take your Dad to school day" with two different pairs of socks or the time he forgot about an egg he was boiling (and this is the exact reason why mom hates him in the kitchen) until the egg actually exploded onto the ceiling.
Well Dad is full of fun and you love him to bits, and that's why you have saved up quite a bit of dough to get him the best Father's Day gift ever. I suggest a Corum Bubble. Some Corum dials are quite hair raising: Skulls, bats, evil dark things and such, but that's up to you - you know Dad best. But the domed bubble covering the dial adds a sense of fun to ones image. Besides Corum is an excellent brand. Now if Dad loves to boat - even gets up 4am on Sunday then the Corum Admiral Cup is perfect. In this collection Nautical Flags emblazon the dial or bezel (depending on the watch), and you could almost smell the slightly salty slightly fishy smell of the ocean and feel the fine spray against your cheek.

What about a sporty Dad? One who loves the vroom of racing cars careening round tight bends. Well then the options are endless. I will guide you through a few of them. Tag Heuer is renowned for its Formula 1 Collection. The energy of this collection is palpable. Another great choice which has always reminded me of revved up monster trucks - and if Dad likes big machines, he will go gaga over this collection - Zenith Men's Defy Xtreme. These watches run upwards of $10,000 and deftly fuse titanium and rubber. Some harbor mind boggling tourbillons. I am telling you this, if you get Dad a Zenith Men's Defy Xtreme this year, next year Dad will be happy with his pair of socks, because giving Dad a Defy Xtreme is giving Dad a watch for life. Another excellent sporty watch is a Tissot T-touch, very gadgety and technologically advanced.

If Dad still drives his old clunker from the 1970's and has Mom mend his socks than don't go spending a fortune on his watch. Seiko is an excellent brand with really affordable long lasting watches. Available in a wide range of styles, you are sure to pick out the perfect watch for Dad.

Stop your "high powered jet setting CEO Dad" in his tracks with a Girard-Perregaux World Timer WW.TC Perpetual Calender. This beaut tracks the time of countless cities all over the world, even indicating night or day. If Dad sits in the pilot seat rather than business class then a Breitling Men's Cockpit is the obvious choice. If Dad is in the military (and I salute him) then he will absolutely love the IWC Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph Edition Top Gun or a watch from the U-Boat Collection. One thing about U-boat is its dial is highly discernible in adverse conditions even in the flat light beneath the ocean.

Before you spend the money, strike up a conversation with Dad. Steer it towards watches and see what he says. You never know, maybe he has been yearning for a Cartier Santos, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak or a Concord Delirium. Whatever the watch, you know where to get it - THE WATCHERY, because at THE WATCHERY our watches are priced way below the MSRP so you and Dad get more watch for your money.

Blazing Hot New Watches at THE WATCHERY

Bubble Night Flyer
40% off at THE WATCHERY
Your first stop in luxury watches

This blog is a tad to early for Halloween, but riveting none the less. Corum seriously knows how to send shivers up ones spine. I was just about to blog about THE WATCHERY's vast U-Boat Collection, when this creepy Corum watch snagged my attention. The name Night Flyer dredged up my memory of Steven King's movie of the same name. In fact the monster even resembled Corum's terrifying dial depiction.
Corum's Night Flyer is set beneath a scratch resistant sapphire crystal dome - a signature feature of Corum's Bubble Watches.
The second hand is a sword scimitar (curved swords used by pirates) dipped in red to portray blood. A demonic blood red eye glowers from the skull creating a terrifying image. Come to think of it, this watch is not for the faint at heart. Beneath the dial is an automatic mechanical movement which incorporates a rotor allowing for the watch to be wound by the gentle swinging motion of ones arm. Blood red skeletonized hands indicate the time. The Corum Key is prominently displayed between the 3 and 6 'o'clock position. The round 18k gold case and red stitched black leather strap completes the watch design.

The name Corum stems from the word “quorum” which means “the minimum number of persons present, required to enable a meeting, to hold discussions and take valid decisions”.
Corum symbol - the key- emblazons every watch, a testament to opening new doors of creativity, innovation, watch design and possibilities. There is always a new door to open and the mystery of time can never be completely unraveled.

Water resistant to 200 meters, one can show ones dark side at a cheery pool party. I cannot say if the watch will attract a girl or send her trotting.

The watch comes with a Certificate from the Chairman of Corum.

A Luxury Watch is the Perfect Graduation Gift

Standing on the podium donned in a black robe and matching graduation cap, you watch your baby accept her diploma. As much as you try, you simply cannot hold back your tears, as you say to yourself,
"It seemed just yesterday her tiny pink fingers wrapped around my finger in a surprisingly strong grip, and I remember her gurgling up at me. Now just look at her, confident and lovely. Its unbelievable, in just a few short weeks she will be gone off to college to face the world alone." You sigh and then gasp as a sudden thought enters your mind,
"I must get her a parting gift, one she will use everyday and love. A gift so unique and useful, she will never leave home without it. But what can I get her? What will she never get tired of? What will she use everyday?"

The answer is a luxury watch. The perfect graduation gift for the perfect daughter. There are many brands to choose from, each brand unique. Your decision must first involve your target price range. Luxury Watches run from the hundreds to the thousands to the tens of thousands and so on. Next you must decide if your daughter would want either an elegant watch, a sporty watch or a truly unique watch befitting her style. Is she artistic, fun, trendy, practical?

Movado watches are highly prolific available in hundreds of styles and colors. The instantly recognizable museum watch sports the iconic dot at the top of the dial. Check out this Movado Museum Fashion watch depicted to the left. It is stylish and hip and perfect for a party girl. Works well with summer wear and adds intrigue to winter wear, this watch is a dream maker. Very affordable at $437 (45% off the list price) and available at THE WATCHERY. A swiss quartz movement ensures perfect time keeping.

If your kid is the more serious type with her foot on the corporate ladder, then a Movado Juro is an excellent choice. Plain yet elegant, the Movado Juro ensures a lifetime of dedication.

For that really girly girl daughter of yours, Movado has a tremendous number of options. Some with diamonds sure to bring a dimpled smile to her face. The Movado collection watch is a gorgeous piece. Diamonds set into the bezel ring the empty black dial save for the gleaming gold dot at the top and the Gold Tone hour and minute indicator hands. The case and bracelet is exquisitely crafted from polished 14K gold .
The price of the Movado Collection Watch has been reduced to just 50% of the list price. Now available for just $1,798.00. Compute that amount over a lifetime of wear and the saving is quite vast.

Now what to get for that really creative artsy daughter of yours whose hands are always smudged with charcoal or paint and who seems to have stepped right out of the 70's and into the next millennium. Does Movado have a watch for her? Something unique and daring, and seriously creative?
I suggest the highly unique Movado Women's Buleto. The polished stainless steel circle link bracelet is captvating and mysterious. The watch exudes good quality and exceptional craftsmanship. The recessed dial is surrounded by a bold bezel which form the central link of the bracelet. THE WATCHERY Price of $547.00 is a real bargain.

For the elegant one, who never played with dirt even as a toddler, whose face was never dirty even after delicately nibbling at an ice cream sundae, whose clothes looks recently laundered and pressed after an entire day of wear and who is mortified by the idea of charcoal smudges on hands, I suggest the Movado Kara. A luxury Movado Watch so lovely and delicate it reminds one of a newly unfurled rose. The bracelet is a slender band of stainless steel punctuated by identical shimmering diamond lugs. A soft pink metallic dial finishes the look like the perfect note in a Concerto.

If you have something a little different in mind, possibly a blue dial rather than pink, or a gold bracelet in place of steel, or a dial with numbers then THE WATCHERY can help you. Search the WATCHERY and give the perfect Graduation Gift.

Last year was a complete mess up. You had a bunch of stuff going on and ended up buying Ma one of those hard velvety roses attached to a teddy bear from some guy standing at the street corner. Good thing the guy was there too; otherwise you would show up to the Mothers Day barbecue empty handed. You couldn't do that. No! Not with your brother's brand new hot shot wife looking down her perfect nose (thanks to her plastic surgeon x-boyfriend of hers) . Anyway you had made the mental note about this year's Mother's Day - even added bright neon mental flashing lights.

Say Thanks to Mom with a Timeless Gift from The Watchery

"A printed card means nothing except that you are too lazy to write to the woman who has done more for you than anyone in the world. And candy! You take a box to Mother—and then eat most of it yourself. A pretty sentiment!"
Anne Jarvis - the creator of Mother's Day. (depicted in image)

On May 14th 1907, Anne Jarvis held a memorial for her mother who had died two years earlier. She then embarked on a mission to make Mother's Day a recognized holiday which occurred in 1914 ,thanks to Woodrow Wilson who signed the bill. She did not like the commercialization of the holiday and spent her entire inheritance fighting against it. She did not like the cheap cards and empty trinkets associated with the holiday. She wanted the holiday to be full of meaning, depth and gratitude.

No one could have said it better then the creator of Mother's Day herself, but then again she never saw the stunning luxury woman's watches at THE WATCHERY, for if she had she would have approved. Approved very well.

Perusing through THE WATCHERY website, I couldn't help but notice how many gorgeous woman's watches are available.

The Ebel Satya caught my eye as it is both elegant and unique. I love the oval 18 karat gold bezel surrounding a exquisite silver tone face and then I saw the markdown. The Ebel Satya is 70% off the List Price. Down from MSRP of $12,500 to $3,740.
Ebel, the brand, is growing by leaps and bounds oweing to its superb craftmanship, superior quality and excellent timekeeping not to mention the attractive designs. Give mom an Ebel this Mother's Day.

Another perfect watch for Mother who is terribly efficient and excruciatingly punctual is the Baume & Mercier Ilea. You simply cannot go wrong with the Ilea as its simple design and perfectly round case compliments many different tastes. The Baume & Mercier is an everyday watch for a Mother on the go, but giving her this watch will stop Mom in her tracks and maybe, just maybe you will squeeze a tear of astonished appreciation from her eye .

I could go on and on gushing over the tremendous variety of woman's watches available at THE WATCHERY, but I would spoil the fun for you. Go ahead ENTER THE WATCHERY, and get Mom a gift for Mother's Day. She deserves the watch and you deserve THE WATCHERY's rock bottom prices.

Let me know what mom says...

ZODIAC Sports Watches Now at THE WATCHERY

Zodiac ZO7616 Air Dragon White Mother-of-Pearl Dial Leather Women's Moon Phase Watch
ONLY $145

Looking for a sporty watch for an affordable price, well look no further than the Zodiac Collection of Watches at THE WATCHERY. Check out the summery Air Dragon, looks great and is water resistant up to 100 meters. I love the moon phase above the bubble-gum pink 6 'o'clock, a complication not often found on sporty woman's watches in this price range. The case back is screw down necessary to ensure effective water resistance. The battery powered Swiss Quartz movement is high quality.

The Zodiac brand has been around since 1882 when Ariste Calame set up workshop.
Between 1908 and 1930, Zodiac produced its own calibers and movements to be used in pocket watches.

In 1924 Zodiac introduced its first extra flat pocket watch with an in house Zodiac Caliber 1617 movement. Zodiac was constantly striving for innovation and in 1930 unveiled a cutting edge shock proofing system which replaced the balance with a z-shaped spring clip. Zodiac was concerned with the impact vigorous exercises could have on the movement of the timepiece. Zodiac then released one of the first Swiss automatic watches.
Zodiac continued to strive towards the future.
In 1932 Zodiac took a giant step into the future of watchmaking by
unveiling the first Swiss analog quartz watch, the beta 21 calibre. Zodiac was literally decades ahead of the game. In 1937 Zodiac released an 8 day movement.
Zodiac turned heads at the 1949 Basel Fair with the release of the Astrographic - one of only two watch collections at that time with a power reserve indicator.
In 1953 Zodiac unveiled the SEA WOLF - one of the first serious diving watches available for purchase by
the general diving public. Never stopping for a moment, Zodiac surged ahead and released the Super Sea Wolf which is an improvement on the original SEA WOLF sporting a newly improved crown/stem system and case back design making the watch water resistance to 750 meters.
In the 1960's SEA WOLF gets a 24 hour GMT hand and morphs into the AEROSPACE collection. AEROSPACE becomes the AEROSPACE JET with the addition of a 24 hour hand which traverses the dial once every 24 hours - a true mimic of the earths rotation. In 1968 the world of watches finally catch up to the ZODIAC and they release the
DYNOTRON - the first Swiss electronic watch.
1971 finally saw the release of its first Swiss Analog Swiss Watch - the BETA 21 Calibre.
Zodiac continues to streak past other watch companies with mind boggling ,almost science fiction innovations.
In 1977 Zodiac releases the worlds first LCD watch to become a certified chronometer.
1978 Zodiac releases the slimmest quartz watch as well as the slimmest
automatic mechanical watch with a calender. Zodiac has always looked ahead, and in the 21st century, zodiac continues to produce watches of high quality. With the introduction of resilient collections especially geared for sports like the SEA DRAGON , V-WOLF and the highly coveted ZODIAC MISSION EXTREME or ZMX-01, ZODIAC has become the brand for sports.

When you purchase a ZODIAC watch, you can be assured you have purchased a timepiece of superior quality, excellent craftsmanship and the culmination of over 120 years of constant striving for the best possible product in terms of innovation, precision, resilience and style.
