It is Time for a New Years Resolution.
I am talking Time Management.
Time Management is essential, if one wants to make good on personal promises. Time Management goes hand in hand with taking control. Instead of time marching off leaving one scrambling to keep up or merely being hurled along like a pebble in a current, one can capture and utilize time in a way which solidifies that moment forever. That moment you have captured becomes the first stepping stone to reach the next level.
For instance, set your alarm clock for 6am, get out of bed (no easy feat) and hop on the treadmill. By doing this you have taken control of that moment and laid down the foundation for the next day and the next, each time getting closer to reaching your goal - each moment in time marked for the next. New Years Resolutions ,if taken seriously, can be achieved with taking control of your Time.
At THE WATCHERY, we understand the importance of Time Management, and that is why we provide the ultimate tool for your journey. A Watch. Not any watch. A watch you can count on. A watch which is adapted to your needs, your style, your sense of purpose. A watch which embodies you, and becomes you. A Luxury Watch.
At THE WATCHERY, we sell top name brands, such as Cartier, Audemars Piguet, Concord, Breitlign, Tag Heuer, IWC, Baume & Mercier, JeanRichard, Ebel, Zenith, Hublot, Chopard, Blancpain and many many more, at hugely discounted prices. All watches are genuine, for the passage of time does not lie.
Take the first step in taking control of your time, of your life and purchase a Luxury Watch at THE WATCHERY.
Happy New Year!

2010 Brought Renewed Hope For the Luxury Watch Industry
Cartier ,as well, opted for utilizing cheaper materials such as steel and rubber for its Roadster Collection. The Roadster S is much more affordable with a definite mass appeal, which is exactly what the high end luxury watch companies need to survive. Mass appeal, that is, without damaging the integrity and quality of the watch brand. At a going rate of $4,600 for the steel version and $4,600 for the combo, this watch is much cheaper than the original Roadsters thereby enabling young aspiring individuals to own a watch worn by millionaires and noticed by all.
Luxury Watch Companies are looking to 2011 with a renewed vigor and hope, and just like the recovery from the Quartz Scare of the 1970's, they have survived.

Moon Phase Watches at THE WATCHERY
Grande Complication Perpetual Calendar IW927020
THE WATCHERY PRICE $238,500 Save 25%
A moon phase complication depicts the varying phases of the moon: New Moon, first quarter, full moon and last quarter. A lovely example of a moon phase is at the 12 'o' clock position of the IWC Grande Complication Perpetual Calender. The case and bracelet of this luxury timepiece is crafted from platinum.
Below I will briefly describe the basics of the watch components of the moon phase. The phases of the moon are usually displayed on a disc visible via an aperture, or more rarely by a hand. A typical moon phase watch a disc portraying two moons is driven by a wheel with 59 teeth. Every 24 hours a finger turns the wheel by one notch. In reality a lunation lasts 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.8 seconds or 29.53 days; however, the lunation displayed by an ordinary moon phase watch lasts 29.5 days thus the moon phase depicted on the watch is out one day every 2 years, 7 months and approximately 20 days. Astronomical moon phase watches compensate for this difference by utilizing a wheel with 135 teeth, thus achieving a lunation of 29 days, 12 hours and 45 minutes. This reduces the difference to just one day every 122 years.
Many watch companies invent new ways of depicting the moon phase. The De Buthune DB25 Moon Phase Watch reveals a spherical moon phase below the 12 'o' clock. Consisting of two hemispheres, one in steel and the other in platinum, rotates on its own axis.
You may have noticed most moon phase complications adorn the dials of men's watches; however, true to Girard-Perregaux's Cat's Eye Movement Collection which adds complications to women's watches, a gorgeous moon phase luxury watch accompanied by the signs of the zodiac mark the waxing and waning of the moon. (Click here for more info about Girard-Perregaux's Cat's Eye Movement Collection)

Fortis Watches are bold time tellers surrounded by an air of adventure - an adventure into space. Fortis is looking to the future when one day man will voyage to the Red Planet and discover a world beyond the scope of our wildest imagination. Fortis Watches are preparing for the day when man will step onto Mars. An unprecedented expedition is currently underway in a Research facility near Moscow. The objective is to simulate the voyage to the Red Planet. The expedition is called Mars 500, which entails 520 days of complete isolation in an artificial habitat constructed according the the real dimensions of the actual space ship. In addition, the facility contains storage rooms, a green house, lab and a stimulation of the surface of Mars.
This experiment is a joined effort with the European Space Agency ESA and the Russian Space Agency ROSCOSMOS.

Corum's Admiral Cup Collection at THE WATCHERY
The Watchery has a large selection of great watch buys for the holidays with rock bottom prices.
A personal favorite of mine is Corum's Admiral Cup Collection. Back in 2008, I blogged about the remarkable popularity of this particular collection - see post; and since then Corum's Admiral Cup popularity has soared even higher. I am sure you may wonder from whence came the name?
The Admiral's Cup is an international yachting regatta occurring every odd year. It was organized in 1957 by the Royal Ocean Racing Club based at Cowes, on the Isle of Wright in England. In 2003 the Reggatta was held in Australia between different yacht clubs. 2003 was the last race; although, there is some talk in the works for 2011.
Corum's name is derived from the word “quorum” which means “the minimum number of persons present, required to enable a meeting, to hold discussions and take valid decisions”.
Looking at the dial of a Admiral Cup Luxury Watch, visible are 12 nautical flags just beyond the bezel and above minute indexes. Admiral Cup Luxury Watch have no hour markers, baring rather minutes scaled in 5 minute increments. Corum's signature key on the seconds hand counter-weight unlocks the future with each passing second.
Corum Admiral Cup Luxury Watches are a great pick for the Holidays. Buy a Luxury Watch at The Watchery for Unbeatable Low Prices.

Halloween Watches at THE WATCHERY
Yep! Halloween is creeping up. Corum's collection of freaky skull dials and pirate scimitars watch hands never fail to raise the hair on the back of my neck. Since I began my complete and utter infatuation with timepieces, it never fails to amaze me the potential emotional impact of a dial depiction. Take Corum's timepiece available at the Watchery for 40% off, the angular pointed jawbone of the skull, its anguished grimace and the crimson blood pooling in the eye socket can turn ones blood cold. The watch is a Bubble special edition Night Flyer.
The only Night Flyer I am aware of, besides mechanical man made flying machines and bats and such and such, is the terrifying beast conjured in the mind of Steven King. Steven King's Night Flier does look remarkably like the dial depiction without the winged armory above our Corum's skull, but I must say both images invoke a feeling of uneasy terror. A terror that makes one close the wardrobe door, check under the bed and recheck the lock on the front door just as one is falling off the precipice of consciousness and into a deep sleep.
I did mention the Corum Watch is a Bubble Watch didn't I? Well if you are just becoming interested in the wonderful world of watches, a bubble watch is one of the signature watches of Corum. The "bubble" is a 11 mm thick scratch resistant sapphire crystal forming a dome over the dial. Click here if you are interested in the history of Corum.
The Watchery has a huge collection of genuine Corum Watches all for a fraction of the MRSP.
A helium valve enables divers who operate at great depths and spend prolonged hours under extreme pressure breathing a mix like trimix containing gases such as helium (tiny molecules) or hydrogen (smallest molecules found in nature) to release the helium molecules that have worked their way through the o-rings or other seals. The helium and hydrogen molecules cause no damage when the watch is at great depths under pressure but as soon as the diver resurfaces, a pressure difference occurs between the trapped gas(es) inside the watch case and the surrounding air. This can cause the crystal to pop off damaging the watch thus the helium valve is a crucial edition to diving watches enabling the diver to release the gas build up and restore equilibrium.
The Watchery has a huge collection of Zenith Watches all for a fraction of the MRSP.

The watch may be protected by simply swiveling the entire watch face around revealing an attractive dial back sparkling with geometrically placed diamonds. The reversing of the dial face, stems from practical necessity rather than aesthetics.
Cesar de Trey, an influential businessman, who was a close associate of Jacques-David LeCoultre visited friends in India.
A polo player approached him, "Sir, I challenge you to create a timepiece that can survive a game of polo with its crystal intact."
This challenge founded the legend of the Reverso. A Patent for Reverso was filed on March 4, 1931: A watch capable of sliding in its base and of turning completely on its axis to turn the crystal inward.

Father Needs a Watch
If Dad always wears a suit - even on the weekend, then a vibrant yellow sporty watch probably will not be the best idea. You need a watch crafted from a solid metal like gold, platinum, steel or a combination. If dad hates clutter, he would want a watch with a simple dial without subdials. If you have run into some money then add a complication like a tourbillon or perpetual calender.
Excellent watches for "no nonsense, clutter hating Dad's", would be Movado's (really affordable and instantly recognizable). The Museum Collection have completely bare dials with only a gold shimmering dot at the 12 'o'clock. The "dot at the top" watch face is for a determined person who always has is goal in sight. If Dad is that sort than peruse through the large range of Movado men's watches at THE WATCHERY.
Okay now what if Dad is the "not so serious type". Yes he has embarrassed you more than once in front of your friends. Like the time he jumped fully clothed into the pool during your pool party. OMG, you could have died, or the time he came to "take your Dad to school day" with two different pairs of socks or the time he forgot about an egg he was boiling (and this is the exact reason why mom hates him in the kitchen) until the egg actually exploded onto the ceiling.
Well Dad is full of fun and you love him to bits, and that's why you have saved up quite a bit of dough to get him the best Father's Day gift ever. I suggest a Corum Bubble. Some Corum dials are quite hair raising: Skulls, bats, evil dark things and such, but that's up to you - you know Dad best. But the domed bubble covering the dial adds a sense of fun to ones image. Besides Corum is an excellent brand. Now if Dad loves to boat - even gets up 4am on Sunday then the Corum Admiral Cup is perfect. In this collection Nautical Flags emblazon the dial or bezel (depending on the watch), and you could almost smell the slightly salty slightly fishy smell of the ocean and feel the fine spray against your cheek.
What about a sporty Dad? One who loves the vroom of racing cars careening round tight bends. Well then the options are endless. I will guide you through a few of them. Tag Heuer is renowned for its Formula 1 Collection. The energy of this collection is palpable. Another great choice which has always reminded me of revved up monster trucks - and if Dad likes big machines, he will go gaga over this collection - Zenith Men's Defy Xtreme. These watches run upwards of $10,000 and deftly fuse titanium and rubber. Some harbor mind boggling tourbillons. I am telling you this, if you get Dad a Zenith Men's Defy Xtreme this year, next year Dad will be happy with his pair of socks, because giving Dad a Defy Xtreme is giving Dad a watch for life. Another excellent sporty watch is a Tissot T-touch, very gadgety and technologically advanced.
If Dad still drives his old clunker from the 1970's and has Mom mend his socks than don't go spending a fortune on his watch. Seiko is an excellent brand with really affordable long lasting watches. Available in a wide range of styles, you are sure to pick out the perfect watch for Dad.
Stop your "high powered jet setting CEO Dad" in his tracks with a Girard-Perregaux World Timer WW.TC Perpetual Calender. This beaut tracks the time of countless cities all over the world, even indicating night or day. If Dad sits in the pilot seat rather than business class then a Breitling Men's Cockpit is the obvious choice. If Dad is in the military (and I salute him) then he will absolutely love the IWC Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph Edition Top Gun or a watch from the U-Boat Collection. One thing about U-boat is its dial is highly discernible in adverse conditions even in the flat light beneath the ocean.
Before you spend the money, strike up a conversation with Dad. Steer it towards watches and see what he says. You never know, maybe he has been yearning for a Cartier Santos, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak or a Concord Delirium. Whatever the watch, you know where to get it - THE WATCHERY, because at THE WATCHERY our watches are priced way below the MSRP so you and Dad get more watch for your money.

Blazing Hot New Watches at THE WATCHERY
40% off at THE WATCHERY
Your first stop in luxury watches
Corum's Night Flyer is set beneath a scratch resistant sapphire crystal dome - a signature feature of Corum's Bubble Watches.
The second hand is a sword scimitar (curved swords used by pirates) dipped in red to portray blood. A demonic blood red eye glowers from the skull creating a terrifying image. Come to think of it, this watch is not for the faint at heart. Beneath the dial is an automatic mechanical movement which incorporates a rotor allowing for the watch to be wound by the gentle swinging motion of ones arm. Blood red skeletonized hands indicate the time. The Corum Key is prominently displayed between the 3 and 6 'o'clock position. The round 18k gold case and red stitched black leather strap completes the watch design.
Corum symbol - the key- emblazons every watch, a testament to opening new doors of creativity, innovation, watch design and possibilities. There is always a new door to open and the mystery of time can never be completely unraveled.
Water resistant to 200 meters, one can show ones dark side at a cheery pool party. I cannot say if the watch will attract a girl or send her trotting.
The watch comes with a Certificate from the Chairman of Corum.

A Luxury Watch is the Perfect Graduation Gift
"It seemed just yesterday her tiny pink fingers wrapped around my finger in a surprisingly strong grip, and I remember her gurgling up at me. Now just look at her, confident and lovely. Its unbelievable, in just a few short weeks she will be gone off to college to face the world alone." You sigh and then gasp as a sudden thought enters your mind,
"I must get her a parting gift, one she will use everyday and love. A gift so unique and useful, she will never leave home without it. But what can I get her? What will she never get tired of? What will she use everyday?"
The answer is a luxury watch. The perfect graduation gift for the perfect daughter. There are many brands to choose from, each brand unique. Your decision must first involve your target price range. Luxury Watches run from the hundreds to the thousands to the tens of thousands and so on. Next you must decide if your daughter would want either an elegant watch, a sporty watch or a truly unique watch befitting her style. Is she artistic, fun, trendy, practical?
Movado watches are highly prolific available in hundreds of styles and colors. The instantly recognizable museum watch sports the iconic dot at the top of the dial. Check out this Movado Museum Fashion watch depicted to the left. It is stylish and hip and perfect for a party girl. Works well with summer wear and adds intrigue to winter wear, this watch is a dream maker. Very affordable at $437 (45% off the list price) and available at THE WATCHERY. A swiss quartz movement ensures perfect time keeping.
If your kid is the more serious type with her foot on the corporate ladder, then a Movado Juro is an excellent choice. Plain yet elegant, the Movado Juro ensures a lifetime of dedication.
For that really girly girl daughter of yours, Movado has a tremendous number of options. Some with diamonds sure to bring a dimpled smile to her face. The Movado collection watch is a gorgeous piece. Diamonds set into the bezel ring the empty black dial save for the gleaming gold dot at the top and the Gold Tone hour and minute indicator hands. The case and bracelet is exquisitely crafted from polished 14K gold .
The price of the Movado Collection Watch has been reduced to just 50% of the list price. Now available for just $1,798.00. Compute that amount over a lifetime of wear and the saving is quite vast.
Now what to get for that really creative artsy daughter of yours whose hands are always smudged with charcoal or paint and who seems to have stepped right out of the 70's and into the next millennium. Does Movado have a watch for her? Something unique and daring, and seriously creative?
I suggest the highly unique Movado Women's Buleto. The polished stainless steel circle link bracelet is captvating and mysterious. The watch exudes good quality and exceptional craftsmanship. The recessed dial is surrounded by a bold bezel which form the central link of the bracelet. THE WATCHERY Price of $547.00 is a real bargain.
For the elegant one, who never played with dirt even as a toddler, whose face was never dirty even after delicately nibbling at an ice cream sundae, whose clothes looks recently laundered and pressed after an entire day of wear and who is mortified by the idea of charcoal smudges on hands, I suggest the Movado Kara. A luxury Movado Watch so lovely and delicate it reminds one of a newly unfurled rose. The bracelet is a slender band of stainless steel punctuated by identical shimmering diamond lugs. A soft pink metallic dial finishes the look like the perfect note in a Concerto.
If you have something a little different in mind, possibly a blue dial rather than pink, or a gold bracelet in place of steel, or a dial with numbers then THE WATCHERY can help you. Search the WATCHERY and give the perfect Graduation Gift.
