The Magnum XXL includes a flyback chronograph complication powered by the automatic mechanical Ref. 8834 movement. Automatic mechanical refers to the fact that this watch contains no batteries (thus it is not a quartz) and it is wound automatically by the natural swinging motion of the wearers arm. The flyback chronograph function is considered one of the most complicated functions in a mechanical watch. The flyback chronograph function was first designed for sportsmen and further compliments the Magnum XL sporty form with a sporty function. The flyback chronograph enables the chronograph to perform three functions in one instant. By a single push of a button, the chronograph stops, resets and restarts. Perfect for sports where time is of the essence. The Magnum XL is water resistant to 200 meters.

The PVD coated steel case has a sandblasted appearance with four large screws, prominent chronograph pushers and an impressive crown. The timepiece also sports an exhibition case back.
