The Allure of Designer Watches

This afternoon, Gucci posted on their Facebook page about their watch collection. The Italian design house stated: "In the 1970s, Gucci was the first luxury house to add watches to its offering? The tradition continues today with our Gucci Timeless and Coupé collection." And Gucci watches continue to be popular amongst watch-loving consumers.

Indeed, many of our Watchery customers love Gucci watches in particular, and a design-house timepiece in general because they can add a fabulous statement to your look. Design-house watches, by labels such as Gucci, Fendi, Armani and so forth, offer the status symbol appeal without the earth-shattering price tags of Swiss-made luxury watches by esteemed watch manufacturers such as Breitling, Rolex, Cartier and more.

The latest design house to jump on the bandwagon is Roberto Cavalli who announced last week that he is teaming up with coveted Swiss watch manufacturer, Franck Mueller, for a new range of Roberto Cavalli watches.
The time pieces will cost from $1,600 to $7,600, with entry level timepieces up to more luxurious items.

No word yet on whether The Watchery will be stocking Cavalli's highly coveted new watch collection but watch this space...
