Today, the watch world is celebrating the opening of their favorite week of the year as Baselworld, the world's top luxury watch, designer watch and jewelry fair opened in Basel, Germany today. With 1800 exhibitors, from 41 countries, the week-long watch event is set to break records. What's more, it is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors and 3,000 media representatives from around the world. As Baselworld expands, it has outgrown its current location and a new hall is being contracted that will be ready for the 2013 Baselworld watch fair.
Watch lovers everywhere anticipate Baselworld every year as it is the vehicle of choice to launch incredible new watches and innovations. Already today, luxury watchmaker, Hublot, has launched the world's most advanced chronograph watch, which features 1/1,000th second precision over a twelve-hour time frame and is accurate to within ten seconds a year.
